I want something that will handle album art, have great battery life around 35+ hours minimum and have buttons (NO TOUCH SCREEN).

No iPods as I hate iTunes with a passion.

I've had a 64gb NW-A847 for a couple of years.

Not sold in UK so ordered from Japan. There are a number of Japanese websites that do this. The main reason I did this was because Japanese Walkmans still support ATRAC and I'm not keen on re-ripping 1000 CDs or converting Sonicstage library to MP3.

The main downside is that the player's menus are in Japanese. I knew this before I bought and it's not really an issue if you know your way round Sony stuff. The tracks/artists etc are still in English. If you are really struggling just download an English manual from a similar model and follow the steps. The menus are all the same. The upside is there are no EU volume limiters and the player is LOUD. I have never gone above a level above 20 out of 30. Sound quality superb even with bundled headphones.

Can't remember exactly how much I paid but it was around the same price as the 16gb models in UK. On top of that you have to pay import duty (the courier will invoice you after delivery.) From memory that was roughly £20.

The unit was delivered very quickly and a very nice Japanese fellow kept me constantly updated about shipping and delivery progress. It certainly arrived within two weeks, maybe quicker.

I would assume this model is now disontinued as this was all a while ago. However, I would definitely go down this route again in the future.
