Sony W324000 or Panasonic TX-32LXD52?

My sister is looking for a tv to replace her CRT. A close friend of her's is selling her panasonic TX-32LXD52 for £300 & has given my sister first refusal. My sister asked if i had any knowledge of this LCDtv regards to spec etc & the only thing i know is that the tv is a good 2 or 3 years old. She asked me what how my tv performs which is the 'sony 32W4000.' i told her how pleased i was with the tv overall. After explaining to her about how good the sony is, she said she was very tempted to go for the same tv as me but realising she may have to spend something like an extra £300 wandered if there would be a big difference in picture, sound quality, etc etc compared to the panasonic & if it would be justified in her paying the extra for the sony?

My local Tesco was selling the Sony W324000 at rock bottom prices (£100 off and more) but I would go for the Panasonic as its too much of a risk with Backlight bleed on the Sony.
