can i ask 2 daft questions please.

1) It is ok to use the amp all day for general sky viewing and watching the box isn't it as it involves a lot of fiddeling in my sony tvs menus to change output types everytime i want to use the amp they only seem to give me tv or amp to output sound not both though i suppose i could get the harmony remote to do it all

2) How do i bi-wire my front speakers i know bi-wire is a much debated subject but i have some left
over speaker wire and i might as well use it to bi-wire rather than just cut it up to make jumper cables from the lf to hf terminals. I am only using the amp in 5.1 well when the sub gets here it will be .1

know that i connect the cable to the empty terminals on the amp for the rearmost surround speakers and they go to the hf on the speakers but what settings on the amp do i need to configure

Just thought of another question I have just upgraded to a mission m33i package with a wharfdale sw150 sub now if i wanted to go 7.1 in the future i would look at using these http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/p...roduct_ID/4006 now ould i use these at the back ie behind the litening position or at the side's of the chair the fronts are approx 6' in front of the listening position the centres would be 2' away and the rears approx 8' away. at the moment the fronts are 6' away and the rears are only 2' away directly at the sides of the listening position

another one sorry its all too new and confusing.

using the mission package could anybody guide me on cross over frequencys its something i have not come across yet but [is mentyioned on other forums to give a better sound

1. Yes, no problem at all

2. To set up biamping, go into the speaker menu, and you need to set the SP(eaker) PATTERN to tell the amp there are no surround back speakers. Then use SB (Surround Back) ASSIGN and set that to BIAMP. Now run the auto-calibration system, which should also sort out your crossover settings.

If you want to set the crossover settings manually, with those Missions I'd go for 50Hz on the front left and right, 60Hz on the centre, and 80Hz on the surrounds.

And yes, if you decided to go 7.1-channel instead of using the surround back channels to biamp, the Q Acoustics speakers would be fine.
