Sony STR-DG820 On Screen Display

I was asked to help a friend show him how to work the amp so that it shows the settings on his TV screen, and I'm afraid I was not much help.

I have no problems getting this done with my Onkyo. Is there a particular method of doing this?

Also, unlike my Onkyo amp which requires that you place the mic in different parts of the room, the calibration for the speakers on the Sony only takes about 10 seconds, from one position!!

Is this right? Thank you.

I don't think that Sony features an on screen gui so you have to go by whats shown on the front of the amp.

Correct - no OSD, but the DCAC is both very fast and very accurate...
