WE TURNING THE VOLUME ON THE MACHINE OVER 42 AND WHEN WATCHING FILMS ANY LOUD EXPLOSION OR BANG

RESULTS IN THE MACHINE TURNING ITSELF OFF I HAD A SIMILIAR PROBLEM WHEN IT KEPT TURNING ITSELF OFF AFTER EVERY 5MINS THIS WAS A CIRCUIT PROBLEM AND HAD IT ONLY FOR 1WEEK.

What speakers are you using? Sounds like an impedance mismatch is triggering the receiver's protection circuitry, assuming there aren't any dodgy connections or it's not housed such that it's overheating.

Had exactly the same problem with my onkyo, jack russell caused mine going behind my amp and disturbing the speaker connections causing a single strand short which only tripped the amp at higher volumes, Check your wires first.

THANKS FOR THAT USING PIONEER SPEAKERS - I WILL CHECK ALL CONNECTIONS - SHOULDNT BE OVERHEATING

AS I ONLY USE THEM ABOUT ONCE A WEEK AND TUNE THE MACHINE OFF AFTER USE.

Though admittedly he does it less now he's given up wicketkeeping and paints instead...
