sony str-dg 820 how good?

now that rs are now selling the 820 for £229 (while stocks last) is this now the best pound for pound amp on the market? I mean it was good at £300

Yes probably as there's no competition at that price, may be some older Onkyo's, but majority of current amps start from around the £400 region.But it's only a good purchase if it will work with your intended speaker package, so some though into what youve got or what your getting, still may require an audition for best results. What speakers do you want to run, this will give us a better understanding of your requirements, and whether we think they work together.

sorry lobby, you misunderstand me. im currently have a yam rx-v1900 and b&w 685 package, I was just enquiring as to this forum considerd this amp top value for the price.but i might build a second system with the sony in mind with say the q acoustic 1010i or the wharfedale diamond 9 package. What do you think?
