Sony or Onkyo?

....Jeez from a relatively simple question we've gone on to Sony Wars! ....IMHO Sony made great CRT TV's and are better than most with their LCD's ...but none of their TV's can match a decent plasma (and believe me I looked at loads of models for about 6 months prior to buying my Pioneer)

Sony's Home Cinema Receivers are pretty good but generally Sony's after-sales service is (again IMHO)notoriously bad.

For an actual Sony Centre to refuse to consider a demo is plain pants ..Let their head office know! ....(whether you ever get a reply is whole other matter!)

What is PS3s, 360s, or Wiis got to do with the question asked.

I would also like to hear something about the differences between the Sony 2400 and the Onkyo 606. Unless you have both amps you cannot compare actual 'day to day' use or quality of sound; but if you have either one you can say what you think are the pros and cons of using it.

Taking 'day to day' use and actual performance aside, I am sure some of you audiophiles and/or techies can make a comparison list of the specifications of both units side by side.
