Sony HT-SS1300 5.1 Channel Home Cinema System

Funny you should ask as I was just looking at it for the parents for Christmas. From what I hear it is a decent systems for the money and what you get for it. LPCM pass through helps make it a good choice too if you don't want to go for the more expensive HTS-1000..

I have this system set up along with a 42 PX 80 plasma, PS3 and XBOX 360, i find the system very good but did look at the HTS 100 before buying, the difference to me was the speakers, the small ones with the 100 were the golf ball size ones and although they look good, they seem to be missing the mid tones. I have my system set up with most of my music on the PS3, along with other items. It is a good system that gives me my music, radio, HDMI inputs/output etc etc, i am still learning little bits and pieces but you could do a lot worse, maybe not for the purists on here but for someone who wants a good system without re-mortgaging the house, you could do a lot worse.

I am surprised that a review has not been done on this system.
