Can anyone who has got one please tell me what level of volume output they are getting.

I have tried all input types connected to various sources and in each case there is no sound output until I get to around 35-40. To get any drama from a film I need the level set to Maximum (75)

Sorry - have just read through some past posts and it seems this is typical for this system. No good for my big room though :-(.

Definetely a serious ommission on all the rave reviews it gets

I have mine hook up with optical cable and turn up around 55 to 65 for good action and drama sound output. Room size is around 18m2. Sometimes I have to turn down the volume when there is explosion or music tracks coming on. But never gone beyond 70.

After reading WHFSAV 5* review of this product, i was convinced it was the one for me - until i can afford B&W's MT-30 package, now, after reading various posts on here, i'm not so sure.
My room size is approx 6 x 5.5 m
Is my room too small for the Sony?

I would say it is too big, the "oomph" factor is definetly lacking in this system
