Hello, friends...I am looking to buy this model CD player, but I wonder, what is the difference between those two models, except the obvious (no headphone jack and no volume for the jack respectively) I mean is there any difference in the years produced, area sold etc? Also, the same question regarding the amplifier TA-FB920...or TA-FB920R? Any differences?

Hi Vlado,

TRy to look here for more details regarding machines:

or https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/sony/ta-fb920r.shtml

I search using both those pages.

Are you collector of Sony? Or why this equipment?

Soundwice, you can make better, esp. amplifier. CD is here better, but mainly as CD drive. To get better sound, I recommend to use external dac and different amp. I just do not wont to get you angry, Sony was decling in HiFi and turning back to audiophiles since some 2000. But collecting those items, I can undestand you.

I’m afraid I don’t know the Sony models well enough, but often the suffixes denoted regions, colours or specs. For example E might have been a European rather than home market version, and R might denote a Remote control.

Good luck!

Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Certainly the CD player was not one of their better ones, by all accounts.
