It seems Sony has a real technological edge on mini LED (where it has less of an edge on OLED) so it makes sense from a marketing point of view to have it listed as their "flagship" model especially as their interests in movie studios is also pushing for more movies to be mastered at 4,000 nits. I will reserve judgment, but no matter how good the technology is, LCD still have unavoidable and inherent limitations compared to OLED and I suspect the Bravia 9 will still lose out to a G4 or even last year's A95L in a videophile shootout even if it is head and shoulders above every other LCD on the market. Not offering a 98" model is also a missed opportunity.
