Sony blu ray players improve picture quality with triluminos or just a hoax?

i read that the higher 2014 blu ray players from sony have triluminos.. the triluminos in the tvs improve the picture quality..so if the BP have it. will it improve picture quality? if so, will it work better if already have a sony triluminos tv such as the kld46w905a? im a noob at blu ray players and just want it clarifying. looking to get a SONY BDPS-6200

Triluminos in a blu ray player is just marketing mumbo jumbo. Ignore it.
