We have an LG 42LW650T (3D TV) and we connect through a Onkyo TX-SR608 AV receiver (3D capable). When we try to play 3D, it tells us that either our TV or player are not 3D - Hogwash! We can play the 3D movies without problem through our PS3, so why not our 3D Blu-Ray player?

Both the TV and Blu-ray player have the latest firmware updates.

That sounds very strange indeed. I have the same player, and have no issues with 3d playback. Try just connecting it directly to the tv, to eliminate any issues as its passing through your amp. But, like you said, if 3d is working via your amp using the ps3, I doubt its the amp. I will have a look it my blu ray player settings later to see if i can maybe help you. Could be a simple setting, or a disc problem?

All sorted thanks - turns out the Chroma 6 HDMI cable was a bit doggy, switch it for the same version connecting to my Sky Box, and issue resolved. Strangely, that dogggy cable works fine on the Sky box and allows 3D view via Sky.

All sorted thanks.............except now now the Sub (Boston XS) has stopped working (buying a cheap Sub Woofer cable), just to check that the cable is not the issue. Hope not, paid £26 for the Cord Crimson Plus.

Sky 3D doesn't require the same amount of bandwidth as Full HD 3D does.
