Since the firmware update in august , the BDP370 will not produce any audio for mp3 files, video and cds with an audio sample rate of less than 48000
before the upgrade evrything was fine, since then it will play the files but produce no audio. i tested this by converting the files from 44100 to 48000 and you can hear them either streamed from the network or played direct from a memory stick
its not the tv since another dvd player will play cds and mp3 ok,
its the right firmware and i did a network install
i have tried a full factory reset and that has not worked either ,
i have conttacted sony and they are pretty mystified , as i am that no one else reported the problem
i cant roll back the firmware , which i would love to do, to get it working properly
i'm not getting any error messages or problems with system performance , the player just has a dislike of audio sample rates less than 48000
when is the next firmware release , that might fix it
any suggestions for something i have missed
