I am looking to buy a blu ray player for a second room. The above is available for £131.00 - it seems a bargain especially as it was rated 5 stars at £180.00.

Does anybody have any views on the above and whether any other player could come close at that price ?

Well nothing came close at £180 - hence its Award win - and now it's available for @£130, it's one of the biggest bargains in consumer electronics.

And both Play and Amazon have deals at the moment where you get three free Blu-rays as well!

ive had it 2 weeks or so. upscales DVD well. and blurays have been a revelation. i also

use it,well sarah my wife does, as a CD player. As it has an optical out that goes into my DAC in my speakers. It was reccommended on here for me too. Fantastic bit of kit for the money

Ok, here goes, and don't laugh - on my S360 Star Wars Episode 3 looked pretty decent through composite on my CRT telly.

On my new Samsung full HD LCD it does not look quite as good - should I flog my lcd and get a better one? I did tweak it as well, and it improved somewhat, but still...

Or is it that a good upscaler merely makes DVDs watchable or just enjoyable?
