need advice from pioneer n50 and sonos owners.

If transparency and level of detail are not an issue , which product would be more musically engaging.

I am setting up a small office system with nait 5i and totem mites, while the mites have no near the level of detail my pmc gb1is have ,the little book shelves have a really exciting synergy with naim.

The pioneer is only a couple of hundered dollars more expensive than the sonos but having read reviews from whathifi and sixmoons it seems that the pioneer might be just too warm for my taste.

Dont really need high rez support as most of my music is in flac lossless.

The Sonos has by far the best control app, but it won't match the sound quality of the Pioneer's DAC. If the Pioneer costs more, you could buy the Sonos and spend that extra on a good quality DAC and get the best of both worlds.

thanks for the reply david

which dac would you recommend under 200 pounds ?

will the meridian explorer be a significant improvement over the sono's internal dac?
