I have just bought a Sonos bundle, but having problems setting it up. This is now very close to be taken back to dealer.
I am using a Vista computer to attempt the setup, but can't get past the inital setup steps. When I start up the ZonePlayer, the mute flashes green at the same time as the "on" light flashes white. The setup software is then started and it prompts me to press the mute and volume + plus buttons. The flashes then changes to alternate between the mute and the power light. At the same time the software "stops" for a few seconds (the progress bar stops and the form label label says Not Responding). After about 15 seconds, the Not Responding label disappears and the progress bar jumps ahead a bit and the flashing changes back to the mute and volume + flashing simultaniously again. But the software is not able to find the ZonePlayer.
I have switched off Windows Firewall, BT HomeHub firewall, Symantec Antivirus and opened all ports on my computer
My network consists of a BT HomeHub (White) with an Apple Time Capsule hard wired to it. I use the Time Capsule as the wireless connection point for my computers. I have tried these configurations so far:
- PC connected to ZonePlayer - ZonePlayer connected to HomeHub (both via ethernet cable)
- PC connected to HomeHub - ZonePlayer connected to HomeHub (both via ethernet cable)
- PC connected to Time Capsule - ZonePlayer connected to Time Capsule (both via ethernet cable)
- PC connected to ZonePlayer - ZonePlayer connected to Time Capsule (both via ethernet cable)
- PC connected to ZonePlayer - ZonePlayer connected to HomeHub (both via ethernet cable) - Time Capsule switched off
Any ideas anyone???
