Sonos Bridge: NAS connected

Question for a friend as I no longer have Sonos kit myself.

I've advised said friend to get a cheap NAS to run his Sonos setup from and we were wondering if it was still possible to browse/transfer files using Windows explorer if the NAS was connected directly to the spare ethernet port on the Bridge rather than to the router (which has no spare ports).

Help would be much appreciated.

Its all part of the network so still should work but network are strange beasts, i dont have a NAS so can not help you any more, i would just plug it in and give it a whirl wont hurt it.

That is exactly why there is a spare port on the Sonos to allow other devices to connect.
