So simple a child could do it.
I simply removed the metal plates on the HF and LF and replaced with very decent speaker wire, 5cm each.

Made all the difference.

Brightness solved.

Amazing what benefits a little mod like that can bring

DomRok:georgejack:Seems rather strange?
Really?

The metal jumper bars are there purely to allow single wire operation of the loudspeaker if necessary. So generally speaking they are designed to be bi-wired. Or specialist cable companies sell jumpers made of hi quality cable.

The metal jumpers are cheap alloy then gold plated. So act as a poor conductor compared to nice copper wire causing the bright sound you were hearing.

If it's what I'm thinkingof, they are Bi Wire Jumpers ... you can buy similar to these that are specially made, but don't come cheap:

They're the ones alright.

You could make your own from either copper or silver wire for not too much money
