Hi, i'm finally getting a playstation 3 and i want to get myself a lovely new HDTV to do it justice. I've been looking at getting something in the 37-42 inch range (however i would happily go 32 if it meant a superiour picture) and i was wondering if some of you more tech-savvy folk have any recommendations. I've done a little research of my own and at this point in time the SAMSUNG Series 6 (UE37ES6710) seems like a good option, but as you well know reviews, best of year lists and such are abit of a mindfeild; plus im very cynical, ! Finally, my budget is between £500-800 and because ive got a dodgy left eye 3D is for me a non issue.

With that budget you have a lot of options but if I were spending around £800 i'd be probably just stretch my money a little further and save up for something like the Samsung 40D8000, granted its a TV from last year and not quite all the bells and whistles of the ES8000 range from this year but its a very good TV and one you can pick them up for around £900 now..maybe cheaper on something like ebay.

Failing that you can always look at this years models from Sony, they have been getting very good reviews on the net, not sure of their price though.
