Hi - I'm looking for a slimline amplifier (the size of the old mission cyrus) - can you recommend any? I'm getting nowhere looking online. The denon mini system could be OK, though I gather the volume knob has reliability issues.

I'm up for second hand, budget about £100 max, will run feed from computer via a hotaudio dac, into some decent speakers. Thanks, Geoff

There are firms that make them such as Heed but you'll not find them for that budget unfortunately.

If height is not an issue, the Monitor Audio A100 in vertical orientation (stand provided) might work for you. Very slim profile when oriented like this. The stand is 9cm wide although the amplifier itself is about 5cm wide. There are some good deals around ... I saw one for £149 new the other day, although £179-£199 is more typical.
