Hi,

You could have asked (you probably were asked) if you wanted this done when you upgraded to the SKY+ box.

It's easy enough to ask for it now - just call SKY to install your second Digibox in another room and to activate multiroom as a part of your subscription.

Cheers,

Hi,

Yes you'll have to pay for it but you'll need the connection made regardless. If you have the wrong LNB then there's nothing you can do except call in an expert.

As I said, you should have made this choice when upgrading to SKY+ and taken the multiroom - would have worked out cheaper.

You could try an independant dealer but the final choice is up to you. Someone may be able to guide you through the process if you can access the right equipment for a DIY job - you'll still have to ask SKY for a second card and then pay the multiroom subs.

Cheers,

chances are that when you had your sky+ fitted, they would have fitted a quad lnb to the dish, as they tend not to use the dual lnb's anymore as there not as reliable as the quads, if this is the case, ther should be 2 spare ports on your lnb, in which case you could run a lead from 1 of the spare ports to your old box,but you would still need to contact sky to get a second card, unless you just use for the free channels,
