Due to the number of changes happening to Sky's EPG tommorrow, i.e HD swap, Sky Atlantic/Atlantic HD launching etc viewing may be interrupted so Sky have issued a 'Timeline of changes' to keep customers informed. The changes are as follows....

"Eight channels will be off the air from around 2am until about 4am while we prepare for changes to the channel numbers in our entertainment line-up. During this period, there will be brief outages and you will see a placeholder banner advising you that no programmes are being broadcast. You do not need to adjust your TV set or Sky box. The following channels are affected:

* Living
* Living HD
* Living ROI
* Living+1
* Livingit
* Livingit+1
* Challenge
* Challenge+1

- At 6am, Channel One will close, to be replaced on Freeview by Challenge.

- HD channel changes: once the changes have taken place, the channel numbers on your TV listings for Entertainment and Music will have changed. HD customers will notice that some HD channels now have the same channel numbers as their standard definition counterparts. The Living channels: Living, Living HD, Living ROI, Living+1, Livingit, Livingit+1 become "Sky Living." Sky Living moves to channel 107 for both HD and standard definition.

- Between 8pm and 9pm, our "Let the stories begin" show will be on Sky Atlantic, Sky 1, Sky 2, Living, Living it, Living Loves, Sky Arts 1 and Sky Arts 2.

- At 9pm our brand new channel, Sky Atlantic, launches on channel 108 in HD and standard definition."

All very well, but for those of us wanting to put Sky Atlantic programmes on our planners, it's damn frustrating to not be able to do it in advance

Surely the whole point of Sky+ is not being tied into the schedules...rather than having to be sitting in front of the TV tomorrow waiting for the new channel to appear

sonycentre:I would not worry too much clare,as sky repeat
everything anyway.Hopefully it will make thing's easier to navigate
though.

That's not the point if you want to series link something to a set day/date - otherwise you're linking the repeat (never as relaible - or of course timely - as recording the first showing).

Just don't understand why they didn't bung up a preview channel, at least over the weekend.
