sky+ playback

Hi, lately when i am watching something that i have sky +, every now and again the picture goes black for a few seconds then comes back. But the program still go's on playing so i miss the part when it goes black. It happens quite a lot. Any ideas?

I can't really help you I'm afraid, it's possibly to do with the hard drive.

Have you tried googling it to see if it's happened to other people?

Is it an HD box? A similar thing has started happening on mine. The picture goes blank although the sound via optical carries on. I've not left it long enough to see if the picture eventualy returns. Its an old Thompson refurb and I've just put it down to yet another symptom of a slowly failing power supply.
