sky hd picture issue - help needed

i think this is related to my sky box but still need to do some testing but only happened so far when watching sky so is either sky box or that hdmi input on my amp

after the weekend when my sky box over heated i have had a problem with a spradic flickering picture where the colour flickers - the images seems steady but the picture flickers - if i bring up the menu which is usually blue it flickers to a like a pink/green image - it's almost like a handshake issue as i also sometmes lose the image completly - someting is def a miss so is either sky box amp or hdmi cable - anyone any thoughts before i spend ages ripping my kit out and trying different things

I'll put money on it being your Sky box at fault...

Pink/green screens are a common problem with sky boxes, a re-boot/powerdown or planner rebuild will usually resolve it.

thanks daveh - how do i do that again and does it wipe my harddisk?

No a planner rebuild wont format the HDD, it just does some housekeeping/defrag. A "full reset" will format the drive and reset to defaults.
