Hi there. Does anyone in the know (Daveh75?) have an idea when the £10.25 charge for HD will be dropped please? My current subscription has only 4 HD channels we never use - I tried to cease it but they said I was in another 12 month contract until December!! Thank you.

Sky said today it was 'soon' but couldn't give me any other idea.........

Not sure Sky can really stop you dropping HD if you don't want it, perhaps for the first 12 months because you're effectively paying for the box but after that you should be free to add or remove packages or features when you want, unless you got another box at some point in the last few months?

I'd be surprised if Sky have told their droids they'll be dropping the charge soon, I suspect it's just something they tell them to say if customers enquire about dropping it.

AFAIK, there are no current plans to drop the HD sub.

I would take what Sky CS agents tell you with a huge pinch of salt, the two main job requirements for Sky CS seems to be no/little product knowledge and a propensity to BS...

Yes, we got a 'replacement' box as the lip sync issue had become unwatchable. I had forgoteen about that to be honest! They were adamant the HD side was the contract - bizarre. Still, I dropped Sky Sports so I'm still saving £21 or so.....

Thanks chaps.

Anyway, Rush at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle tonight is more important! Off soon!

Hi,

I wouldn't have thought a replacement box within the first 12 months would have initiated a new 12 month contract? If you were out of contract and it was clearly spelt out to you during the phone call that you would be resigining, you shouldn't be in a new contract period...

Enjoy the concert.

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.
