Sky + HD 1TB Box (Russ Andrews upgrade)

Has anyone bought this upgraded Russ Andrews box and if so what are your views on it compared to the standard HD box?

it sure is a lot of money, over £600, but if it is such a major improvement I may be tempted.

But at that price, it better be good!

The magazine gave it a good review, but personally my view is why spend several hundred pounds more dragging every last pixel of quality out of the image when the broadcasters continually downgrade bit rates and insist on spoiling the picture with wretched channel idents. HD broadcasting in this country is now about quantity rather than quality. Stick with the bog standard Sky box and spend the extra on a decent Blu ray player and some box sets
