Having sky+ fitted next monday and will be connecting to my hd pana, but it will not be with all my audio set up (middle of moving) so will be using hdmi to tv from box will this take audio to the tv speakers (i read somewhere that it wont take it to amp) thanks

The HDMI cable will take the bog standard stereo sound to the TV, however the box does not output Dolby digital over HDMI so you will need an optical cable to your amp if you want to take advantage of this.

Is there an "official" reason from Sky why they don't allow 5.1 via HDMI?

Having recently purchased the 1tb box it seems mad that this feature still isn't available. Is it a cost thing?
