Hi,

Is there any word when this is going to be available via other Broadband connections, as when I had Sky Broadband it was shoddy to say the least to which I am not tempted to go back to?

Not only s Sky Broadband connection- WHICH I HAVE!!! but be in a "Sky Networked Area" Which i sadly am not.......

Seems you have to be in an "Unlimited Area"???

So people in the countryside are out it seems...........

Switched my SkyHD box on this morning to find it had run a software update, checked through the various menus and now have an "Enable Broadband Connection" (or something) and a Networks section with options for DHCP and the IP address etc.

I'm not with Sky Broadband and I don't think I'm in a Sky broadband area either, so is this the Anytime+ update, the EPG software version is now 42.0.5.2_3?

Yes, it's the Anytime+ rollout to the next set of boxes. And yes, you still need Sky Broadband to partake at this time - but I guess it's easier for Sky to squirt the upgrade to all same-branded boxes at once, regardless of your current internet access arrangements.

Does this mean i have a chance of getting Anytime +?? Use sky broadband and have an hd box??

Yes. If you have Sky broadband and an HD subscription, you can get a free brand new 500gb SkyBox (Amstrad) and free set-up.

Just call Sky to arrange it or do it online at http://Sky.com/myfreebox

www.internetchoice.com.au offers very attractive plans that help a lot as they had a recent plan in which they offered unlimited broadband ADSL2+. Such plans from such internet provider are sold very fast and if you come across such a deal grab it the same moment as it is uncertain that until when the offers will be valid.
