Short Throw Projector

Will be building a cinema room inside my garage over the next few months. Would really like to have a projector but the room isn't that big (11ft by 11ft approx). Anyone got any recommendations on a short throw projector that will give me as large as possible image in this room? Will be playing mainly blu-rays and DVDs in there.

The Panasonic PTAE3000 and the Sony VPL-HW10 will both work easily in that size and give you an excellent picture. You should get away with a 90" image

Hi Cram,

Just to let you know I purchased the Sony projector in Dec to fit in to my room (12 foot long by 8 ft wide). The unit is very quiet and has an excellent picture quality. I have mounted it with a Vogels bracket (£80) as opposed to the (£300) Sony bracket.

I ordered the projector from Creative Video and at that time in Dec the price was a little lower than now but i also got an option of a free BD player or replacement bulb from Sony. I don't know if this offer is still on but it might be worth a look.

what distance is the projector from the display wall and what size picture are you getting?
