As the title suggest's she who must be obeyed has spoken. We are about to finally about re-decorate our 2 living rooms and we need a new TV. She says that "we" must have a plasma (I have an oper mind on this one) TV 37" or 42". We watch at the moment normal telly, we also have a PS3 which is hooked up to the 32" Tosh we currently use. We also have a Wii which we want to hook upto the new tv as well. We don't play a lot of games but want a telly to take advantage of the high def on the PS3.

Any suggestions from anybody.

We have a budget between £500 and £1000. I actually like the new panny 37"plasma but don't know if its any good with gaming which will give us the HD play we want.

plasmas are perfect for gaming because of their super fast response times , the hd ready 37 panny would be fine for hd also , although a 42 inch panny g10 full hd plasma would reveal more detail when watching hd content , and it has freesat , i think you should pick one up for around a grand ..

Don't really want the freesat model as we watch tv via Virgin Media. Where the tv is going is also tight for space (going in alcove next to chimney breast) so we have to careful with overall size as well. The way the house is laid out the tv has to go in this postion.

I have the Panasonic 37X10 Plasma and would highly recommend it.

Mine is in an alcove as well and fits beautifully.

If you can squeeze in a 42 inch full HD I you should. I have a 37inch HD ready Panny in an alcove because that was the absolute maximum size I could fit. Although this was a significant increase over the 32 inch CRT, I now find that particularly when watching HD stuff I really wish I had the 42 inch.
