Sharp LED backlit TV LE700E

Heard of them, seem there only available via the web at this time, has anyone had a look, are they the Holy Grail..............info please as I'm in ther market for a 52" ish new TV and am very curious?

My current shortlisted favourite is the Sony 52X5500, (for all it's faults), just thinking though that the new breed may well all be LED backlit of sorts

The US version has networking like the LG TVs that we don't get over here.

Read on another forum that someone saw one in a shop and wasn't that impressed.

Sharp is usually associated with banding.

I did have a word by mail with Sharp, amongst the yadda yadda was some vague commitment to them being in store within a "few" weeks.

Does anyone have one as I am not filled with confidence

Their's a 40" sharp LED backlit 600 version & a sharp blu-ray player for £999.72 as a Today's Special Value on QVC.

these Tv's are are available instores, I have these in stock plus sharp are offering 5yr cover plus a bluray player, the sony is in a different league with its RGB LED back light, the sharp is half the price so makes it very tempting.

Notwithstanding the RGB LED Sony, how does the Sharp stack up against the current crop of edge lit LED LCD, is it any good picture wise, would it compare against the image of say a Sony W or Z series at 52"

This is what I looking to find out. and I am told I am at least two weeks away from seeing the Sharp in my neck of the woods
