Abdulk what's the best price you've found this set for if you don't mind me asking? I was looking for a 50" set but this caught my eye and may be an option. There are glowing reviews for it everywhere. I thought I'd found it for £1280 earlier but it was one of those websites that advertises it's price without tax. Like you get an option of whether or not you'd like to pay it!

For gods sake add the damn tax and stop making me think I've found a bargain.........then have to add 15% VAT!

I have the PDP-4280XD (basically the same TV) and sometimes wish it was Full HD for Blu-ray. On the other hand, every other aspect of the picture - which is only lacking the last scintilla of sharpness - is so fabulous, I know I would struggle to match it. I suppose if money were no object, I could go for one of the last Kuro 50" sets, but I think I will wait a while until there's a 42" Full HD plasma on the market which gets universally brilliant reviews. The present Panasonics had rather a mixed reception, didn't they?

I guess what I am saying is, I know I need to be very careful, especially as I still watch a lot of SD TV and DVDs, which the Pioneer upscales brilliantly.
