Hi to all, I am an ipod user with B&O a8 earphones, the problem is that the tube in Athens is very noisy and I need something to block the noise. I've tried the noise cancellers from Creative but they sounded thin and I could not bear them at all.
So is the senn’s 250 up to the level of A8; will the do the job and justify their money? Any other mobile alternatives are welcome.

Thanks

I have a pair of 250s and I'm very happy with them. I've used them on the tube, buses and planes and can't really fault them (considering how much cheaper they are then some other brand's offerings).

I haven't tried the A8s, but I recently bought my Dad a pair of BOSE Quiet Comfort 3s and, I have to say, I much preferred the sounds of the much cheaper 250s; more detail and punch (although the actual noise canceling of the QC3s is exceptional).

However, I'd love to get my hands on the new PXC450s!

Well they sure seem interesting but they are not quite portable ... I have a 22gr shuffle and a 450gr earphone is not my priority.

the problem is also that the local dealer does not have any senn for demo ...
