Selling an amp - service first?

I have just replaced an old Technics SU-610 with a Marantz pm6006uk so am now planning on selling the Technics.

Everything works fine EXCEPT from time to time when you activate the Loudness button the speaker volume just goes crazy and overloads. I suspect it's probably just some dust inside or a loose connection. Now, I'm not very handy AT ALL with that sort of stuff (and a bit lazy, to be honest) so don't really want to start taking the shell off and poking around.

Am I better off selling the amp but mentioning the fault and reducing the price accordingly, or getting it serviced before selling? I half suspect I'd pay as much to get it serviced as I would get for the amp anyway...

Any advice much appreciated!

Those located in the UK on Ebay are listed at around £80-100. I would let the buyer fix it, if you can sell it. Not everyone will want to use the loudness button.
