Where is the best place to do so? Ebay is so full of numpties and Chinese fake rubbish these days that it has become a joke.

While I'm here, can I also state what an infuriating piece of software this forum is. It's the most mobile device unfriendly website I've ever had the displeasure to use. Shameful that a tech website should have such a poor user interface. Every time I open a thread I get logged back out and so can only start a thread, but not contribute to one someone else has started! *dash1*

I advertise on the headphone websites that I participate in. That way, if someone wants to buy, I either know them and trust them fairly well, or (the usual case) I ship only using Paypal to their actual Paypal address.

There are a couple of websites that don't allow me to advertise because I'm not a "sponsor" etc. No biggie.

Forums are what they are, and if you're a regular, you're in a good place.

I have some wired 'phones and have now gone wireless, mostly because I now have a phone with no 3.5 socket (and because I like buying new gadgets!). Do you think my best bet is to find a headphone forum then? Nobody buys stuff off a newbie, do they, though, and I'm not that into headphones that I'd be massively interested in hanging around for long either. Think I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place!

Shame there's no classified section on here...

It really depends on headphones in question. Are they something that's really well know by masses? If so eBay is the answer. Or are they studio phones that will not appeal to an average punter? In which case forums would be the way to go.

There are numerous hifi sale sites around like hififorsale etc, a simple Google should answer your question.

If you've a member of AV Forums, that's usually a good place.

The discussion regarding this forum having a classified section did take place a few times before. The main issue is, policing it. Who takes responsibility if someone gets scammed?

I can't stand AV forums. Newbies are sneered at, or ignored altogether, rather than helped out. Pretty sure the functionality is hamstrung if you use an ad blocker like I do, too.

Not sure how many hits on eBay I'll get for the headphones I want to sell, a pair of PSB M4Us...

Buy a new phone! Anything but Cr-Apple! You like buying new gadgets.

A far more practical (but boring) solution might be Gumtree. That will generally mean a local buyer, but there aren't any fees.

I just did, that's why I now have no socket. It's not a cr-Apple, I can't stand them. I've never had an iPhone, but I have had various other bits of their kit over the years and they've all been annoying rubbish! I am Android through and through when it comes to phones and got a Pixel 2 XL in November. It's not without its own foibles mind...

Not sure what the problem is with ebay. After all you know you're not one of the scammers, and if you insist on UK buyer/paypal only you won't get scammed. I've successfully sold camera gear and even a car on ebay and got prices I was happy with and no hassle. It's a go-to for most people for most things, and if anyone puts PSB M4U into google your listing'll probably come up there too. Ebay visitors are going to be very task-oriented (think about your own behaviour when going to ebay) and search for the exact model they've taken a shine to after reading reviews.

Looks like a good pair of cans btw. Did you think about going the DAC route to get your headphone jack back?

Apple is extreme in trying to control what you do, and they will go as far as to delete your personal files at times. But I've learned their system and how to work around their "stuff", and as a result I usually have a very reliable power performer of a phone, with thousands of music tracks and thousands of videos and a thousand documents - all in a generic format that Apple has no part of except to play on my phone when I wish.

I have an old iPad that works just fine, but has been slowed to a crawl by iOS 9. I have an Apple TV (now retired) that wouldn't work every time I went to use it. I once bought an Airport Express network extender thing that only worked for 10 minutes at a time before needing a full reset. And iTunes..., don't get me started on how awful that is.

Anyhow, I've looked at the PSBs on eBay and they don't go for as much as I'd have liked, so I'll probably just keep them and hope they become collectors items one day. BTW, there was some con merchant asking £765 for a pair! He also wants over a grand for a Yamaha 471 AV receiver...
