Hi all,
OK I admit it. I have been seduced by plasma after months of knocking it on this forum. My question now is this. I have on loan (as I posted previously) a pioneer pdp 427xd. My local dealer has offered it to me for £500.I am very impressed with this tv but it is after all 18 months old. Is there anything out there in the plasma world that would equal or better this set for a budget of around £800?I mainly watch freeview and dvd. Please help!!!

I've no idea what a two year old Pioneer looks like. But check out in the shops the latest Panny 42PX80 (around£650 HD Ready) and the PZ80 (around £750 Full HD) and see what you think.

Thanks for the reply rewerb. I`ll have a look at those two today. I`ve got a feeling that they will have to go some to beat the picture on the pioneer. Seems to me that all of these larger screens struggle to do freeview sd simply because they highlight the limitations of freeview its self. As a matter of interest how much better in terms of pq is freesat/sky compared to freeview in your opinion (or any one else`s )
