I've recorded a lot of the BBC HDs coverage of Glastonbury. Is there any way I can save that as I dont want to keep it on my HD box as it's taking up a lot of space.

Can I connect my computer up the the box and save it on my hard disk? How do I play it back?

Cheers.

No, there is no way to copy HD material off your HD box, even if you could the BBC copyright protect their HD broadcasts so it wouldn't playback anyway.

Have you thought about upgrading the hard disk in your box?

If you put a large drive in there you can afford to keep any number of films and other programmes for as long as you want.

Other threads have described in detail how to do this, including copying your existing recordings to the new drive. Copying the data takes a couple of hours, but the actual disk exchange only takes about half an hour.

I can copy HD to dvd from my sky + box.

Im not saying its HD quality but its still dvd quality.

See past posts about recording from + box to dvd.

The back of the HD box has a USB port. Could you stick a hard drive into that and store programs on it? Play them back on the Sky box?
