i have them kef kht 1005
its for home cinema only n not for hifi as no bass from the speaker just treble...that's my opinion..tq.

they are minature speakers - you will get some bass but nothing especially deep although different with diff speakers say nothing below 75 htz

then you would have a sub to fill in the low end - you can use a sub sat system with hi fi to very good results

depends on what you want to achieve - if you want a really discreet system that you can nearly hide away its a good option

if you just want speakers to use with your stereo buy full size

They create the surround in surround sound. There are basically two versions. One is the small satellite which need to work with other speakers to produce meaningful sound....

such as a subwoofer and centre speaker (the one on the subwoofer) or they are smaller speakers which add on to a more traditional setup to give the surround sound...........

such as the two smaller speakers here, which sometimes can be used on their own as they are traditional bookshelf speakers in their own right.
