Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering what you all think is the better choice. I'm able to spent around £1300, and want a significant size upgrade from my 32' bravia that i've had for over 4 years. I trust Sony in terms of build and picture but have been quite impressed with samsung screens over the years. I also use a samsung smartphone (I'm sure sony have android apps that'll work to) which would (should) mean ease of compatiblity,

Any advice would be great

Cheers! :)

The Sony doesn't have great reviews. Demo both and check for yourself.

The cheaper Sony is apparently better:

Personally, I would prefer Samsung.

If you have owned a sony tv,then your be used to the great picture. My friend had just purchased the 829 i set it up for him last night, and its a belter.from my point of view i would not touch a samsung product, there tvs seem to have a blue tint to them and motion is not as good....But its down to what your happy with. :)

Cheers

I was swaying towards the Samsung anyway, but the reported small response times of the sony for gaming kept me interested.

I'll arrange a demo tomorrow!
