Samsung UE55D8000 not recognising PS3 when connected

When I connect the PS3 to any of the HDMI sources (1 to 4), that input dims when I go to the source options list and says no signal. I do not have any problems with any other device such as the bluray player, Sky box, the iPad when connected using the HDMI connector. I have tried different HDMI cables and tried putting it in different HDMI input slots, but still same thing. Also, when the PS3 is connected, sometimes other HDMI slots show no signal even when devices are connected to them. As soon as I take out the PS3 everything is fine.

Hi avstuff,

Just read your post. I had a similar issue myself. I called Sony and they advised me to do the following. Assuming that the playstation is connected and turned on, press the PS3's power button until you hear it beep once. Keep your finger on the button and it will turn itself on again and you will hear it beep twice. It worked for me, hope this helps.
