Samsung UE40B6000 help!

Hi All,

I am looking at purchasing the entry level Samsung LED TV, the UE40B6000. I cant seem to find any reviews of this model on the What Hi-Fi website, nor at the back of the magazine (just higher models). The TV is only going into a kitchen diner, so doesn't need to be too flash, just after it as LED so quite thin, and 'should' be a better picture than the standard LCD.

Has anyone has any experience with these TV's? and what they are like? or any known problems?

I notice that Samsung are currently offering £100 cash back (through selected companies) which makes it quite cheap.

Your comments would be appreciated.

as far as i know , its the same tv as the samsung 7020 , except you cant access any online stuff , yahoo widgets etc , but their just gimmicky , its a very nice tv , any reviews of similar sized 7020s would apply to the b6000 , picturewise , the sound is a little tinny , but if its going in the kitchen , it should be fine for what you need ...

I have the ue46b7020 led. The picture is great with HD, the Sd picture will need a bit of tinkering.

The extras on the 7020 isnt really necessary for a kitchen tv, unless you really need to be on the net and the extra usb connection.

top quality screen at a very good price.

If you are buying online, you should check the prices quite regularly as the do vary sometimes on a daily basis.

Had this TV for a bit and was not overly impressed. Had flaws on the wine red bezel and pretty bad backlight bleed from the bottom corners. Also, the auto dimming feature on this set made HD and SD sometimes too dark to watch, sometimes squinting to make out the picture on darker scenes. For the price I was not happy with these issues.

Swapped for a new Sony which is proving to be a good move. Go for the 40EX503 it's very good with a 5/5 rating on here also... http://www.whathifi.com/Review/Sony-KDL-40EX503/
