I have purchaed a Samsung UE55C7000 recently., unfortunatly i had to return the first one due to a very large scratch around the frame. Ii have since taken delivery of the new one and it seems to have terrible clouding when on dark pictures.

My question is that if i have the screen replaced should this solve the problem, i am hoping it will because i think its a superb TV and to be honest the first one i had sent back seemed to have none of the clouding.

I bought one of these sets a year ago and had to send it back ( Currys gave me my money back) because of bad clouding, brightness varying off axis and nowhere near the dark blacks I desired.

I waited a year and have just bought the Samsung UE 55C8000 which is a 3D set too. The price is coming down now and I can

recommend it highly. The blacks are fantastic, it is bright off axis ,there is NO clouding I can see at all ( I am very fussy) and it is pin sharp. I was dubious when I bought it as was ready to return it but there is no reason to do that.I did very little in the set up apart from switching off all the electronic processing to get what is a picture I love on every type of production.

So if you can afford this model I have no hesitation in giving it a thumbs up.

Thanks for the replies,

i do actually own a UE55C7000 but i am a little unsure what to do. The first one i had 2 weeks ago had no picture issues at all, but this one seems to have clouding down the left side of the screen. I done know if i should ask for another new TV or contact Samsung and have the screen replaced.

Its a bloody expensive TV and i just want it to be right.

You wont be happy with it, so get the dealer to take it back if you can....in my opinion its not fit for purpose. Its the dealer not Samsung who you should be talking to. I waited a year to get this tv and it was worth the wait. Bloody expensive as you say but the previous set left me disappointed but this on gives me entertainment every time I use it.
