I bought a Samsung LE40F86 last year and 6 months in, it started to experience hum lines. Under warranty we have an engineer out to do a software update. All was fine until 11 months had past, we got a blueray player and the hum lines returned! After 3 engineer visits and various new parts the TV is still experiencing various display issues, both on standard and HD inputs.
We contacted John Lewis, who we got the set from, and they have agreed to replace the TV. My question is what to go for, we are restricted to TV that have a similar spec and cannot be larger than 40in! Now I have gone for LCD in the past, but I am open to suggestions.
We were looking at the Sony Bravia KDL40W4000, although I believe this is an old set. I have seen that the new model W5500 is out soon, however on some of the posts I have seen that people have commented on the clouding which is common on Sony models!
Just want a TV that works! Of course I am restricted to TVs on the John Lewis web site!
Would be great to get some people
Cheers
