samsung le40b651t picture problem or not?

Hi, i have a samsung le40b651t tv , had it about 2weeks now it was on the factory settings for awhile, which i was happy with then i have now changed some of the settings to sugestions of what hifi. its a brilliant picture but now when i first put it on, the picture looks flat and lacks sparkle after about 10 mins its fine, i never noticed this when i first had it, is this normal or is there a problem?

This is normal, I have Sony kdl-40w2000 that is the same.

They have a ccfl (cold cathode fluorescent lamp) as the backlight which takes time to come up to temperature and produce maximum brightness and colours.
