Hi i was reading the article on last months addition of what hifi  about the Samsung Galaxy s it  is a great multimedia device.

I have a samsung Galaxy s and  was wondering how do i rip dvds onto it  or what software do i need to do this thanks.

You don't rip DVDs onto anything - it's illegal, as is breaching their copyright software. Sorry!

Samsung Movies is probably your best bet - film downloads from 99p, IIRC.

I think it is okay to make a back-up is it not ?

Video files on your sammy will need to be in mp4 format I think anyway.... you tube vids etc and I'm sure that is fine (youtube converter works well)

It would of course be naughty to use it for copy protected dvds !
