Samsung D8000 sound delay & Onkyo amp question

I'm relatively pleased with my new D8000, but should have clocked the fact that there isn't any phono out plugs on it to plug it into my Bose Lifestyle 30. If I take the feed from the back of the SkyHD box, it's clear that the TV sound is delayed. Very, very, annoying.

Stage 2 of my new system (new house = space!) is to replace the Bose with an Onkyo A/V receiver of some description (and some B&W685s or similar). Do these have an adjustable sound delay?

Is there anything I can do in the meantime or would it mean getting a DAC to use to the optical signal from the TV?

Thanks in advance!

If you go into your SKY HD box and look for the spanner symbol it says SETTINGS tab along to Sound and in Digital Audio Output Delay mine is set at 20ms. I have an Onkyo 905 and use it with the B&W 685 Theatre but I have upgraded the subwoofer to the AWS610. In this set up the B&W 685 are the fronts and these speakers are fantastic with music.

I hope this helps

Best Wishes

Wow, I had no idea - thanks. I was thinking about the Theatre system too. Good to hear that it's got a thumbs up. Just need to work out which Onkyo amp to chose!

Movies are so immersive and involving with the B&W 685 Theatre and quite a few people on the forum use Onkyos. I would highly recommend the speakers remember to budget for stands and cables eg Chord Carnival Silver Screen.
