Well OK, some obscure Belgian forumite praised these speakers on the forum... But! There's also a proper review available from a proper reviewer, writing for a proper HiFi magazine: Paul Messenger's impressions of the Red 100. And of its little brother, the Red 50.

And guess what: Mr. Messenger gives both models a HiFi Critic Best Buy badge... Maybe worth an audition after all...

EDIT: Oh, and it's "all about speed and dynamic literacy" (his words) *smile*

I have only just seen this year-old thread.

Interesting that the dimensions / proportions are similar to those of my own speakers in bucking modern 'skinny + deep', WAFionista trends. It would indicate a classic design led product rather than fashion or brochure driven.

The use of classic materials like paper cones again suggests someone is thinking about the sound rather than bling.

Refreshing that someone else out there is letting an acoustic engineer loose on their range rather than a lifestyle guru.
