ROTEL 1520 (amp / cd) VS MA Rx6

The Rotel goes extremely well with the RX series. The RX's tonal balance is a little like B&W's 600 series, only smoother, and I tend to find that of all the budget amplifiers, the Rotel's tend to drive them the best. The same goes for the RX's - their ample bass needs controlling, and not many budget amplifiers can do this with composure.

I would suggest that you also consider the NAD C355BEE and C545BEE/C565BEE with Monitor Audio's Silver RX6 speakers. Imo a superb match and one that can be listened to for hours without fatigue. Another combination also worth considering is the Naim Nait5i/CD5i.

I have the MA S6 which I imagine would be tonally very close to the RX6. These are powered by a Rotel pre/power combo with great success. Great detail, soundtage, and a deep tight bass. I can spend many hours listening to this combo without any listener fatigue setting in.
