rotel 1070 pre power combo, with b&w 705 speakers?? any opinions

think the subject speaks for itself... heard these in a shop, but these were the only products in that price range my local dealer had, are there better products for the money? i do like their sound a lot more than anything else ive heard so far, however they are at the very limit of my budget so dont wanna waste my money in case there is something better for similar cash. was considering something along the lines of cambridge audio 740

10 series stuff is pretty good.

I personally dislike the 705. Listen to a few alternatives to get a feel for what you prefer.
